HELICOPTER PORTABLE SNUBBING JOB


Coiled Tubing/ Jointed Tubing retrieval: Spring/Summer 2006.

Canadian Special Service Ltd was approached by a client with a challenge:
Supply a free standing snubbing unit that would be portable by helicopter and able to stand upright without anchored support in the muskeg of N.E. British Columbia during the spring and summer of 2006.

Canadian Special Service was tasked to retrieve a parted, coil-tubing drill assembly from one well and a parted production string of 2 3/8' tubing from another. Thanks to our experienced snubbing personnel, hands on management system and adaptability, both wells were successfully fished and re-completed within the time requirements specified by our client.
